We pursue money, happiness, fulfillment in life. Often people attempt to live their lives backwards; they try to have more things, or more money, in order to do more of what they want, so they will be happier.
Happiness is always a by-product. It is probably a matter of temperament, and for anything I know it may be glandular. But it is not something that can be demanded from life, and if you are not happy you had better stop worrying about it and see what treasures you can pluck from your own brand of unhappiness.
The pursuit of happiness is a most ridiculous phrase: if you pursue happiness you’ll never find it. You must first be who you really are, then do what you need to do, in order to have what you want.
Happiness is nothing absolute. It’s an idea. People pursue not happiness but the idea of happiness. Only few people who r addressed as happy-they define and follow their own idea of happiness. Other just adopt some general idea about happiness from people and environment. Their pursue continues forever and they never know what is happiness of their own.
